Is Industrial Duct Cleaning Necessary?

Industrial duct cleaning can be very crucial.
  • Dust collection systems are very susceptible to build up of material inside the ducts, even when the duct system is designed for proper velocities it can still have material build up inside.
  • There are so many products that are collected by a dust collection system that are Flammable, product build up inside the duct system can be considered Fuel if a spark was to get pulled into the ducts.
  • Food products inside the ducts may become a habitat for bugs or fungus
  • Most Dust collection systems also have Non-Return Valves (NRV), these valves need to also be maintained. We have seen many NRV valves that will not close properly due to product build up.
  • Frequent maintenance based on the operation is critical, we periodically need to replace ducts if the material is so heavy due to a poorly maintained system.
Duct Cleaning Process
  • We will start the cleaning at each branch line and work back through the main ducts.
  • Typically, the dust collector will be utilized to pull the loosened material and the bins will be cleaned out as needed throughout the process.
  • We have several cleaning methods and materials we use depending on the application.

Air Duct Cleaning provides several benefits to a home.
  • A typical home or business may have a light dust inside. It also may have some debris from the initial construction of the home.
  • The dust inside the ducts may affect aggravate some allergies.
  • Typically, on a duct system the actual Heating or Cooling performance is not affected by dirty ducts.
  • Evaporator Coil or dirty Blower will affect the performance of the system and should be inspected/cleaned.

Duct Cleaning Process
  • We remove each register and clean them. (There are a few occasions that removing the register may cause damage to the paint job. We will discuss options with the customer at that time)
  • Connect our Vacuum system with Hepa filtration to the equipment at two locations so we do not pull the dust through the equipment or coils.
  • Clean each individual duct back to the unit.
  • Seal the ducts to the walls, ceilings or floors as needed with caulking.
  • Reinstall the registers.
